Mason Cash Terracotta Bread Making Set

Made from quality terracotta the set is functional and versatile and makes baking artisan bread easier for novice or experienced home bakers. The set includes an iconic mixing bowl and an innovative lid that doubles up as a baking stone. The mixing bowl is fully glazed for easy cleaning. It is heavy enough to counter the tendency to move during manual mixing and the exterior pattern has been designed to help grip the bowl. The shape allows you to hold the bowl in one arm easily while the other arm can be used to mix with and the wide shallow shape is just right for kneading dough. The lid is multi functional firstly it can be used as a proving lid, forming a seal with the bowl to provide perfect condition for dough to rise in. After the first proving the lid can be removed placed in the oven to heat up and can then be used as a baking stone. The porous unglazed terracotta of the baking stone draws moisture out of the dough surface creating perfect crusty loaves, flat breads and pizza bases. The stone also retains heat to keep pizzas and bread hot. Easy to use, easy to clean, the set comes in gift box with full instructions and recipes. Mixing bowl is dishwasher and microwave safe. Please note the lid/baking stone is porous and therefore not suitable for dishwasher, microwave or freezer. Do not use on direct heat sources.
