Product information: 3TB Barracuda 5400RPM 256MB Cache Internal Hard Drive (ST3000DM007) Green IT is often equated with poor performance because high efficiency is usually only possible with limited power. The HDD specialist Seagate proves with the BarraCuda now the opposite. That this is an economical model , is clear. On the other hand, hard drives are not really the power guzzlers in the PC, so the real saving effect should not be overstated. It is therefore rather surprising that the HDD, despite a significantly lower power consumption percentage, enables a rich data transfer of brutal 185 megabytes per second . The BarraCuda achieves this dream value with a speed of5,400 rpm . Nevertheless, she remains reserved about volume development. The cache is also very large with 256 megabytes . With 185 MB / s, the limit of the SATA 2 port is not far off, but the SATA 6G built in here not only offers the advantage of higher bandwidth. The protocol has also been significantly streamlined, for example, to increase energy efficiency and to optimize the transmission of multiple simultaneous high-bandwidth data streams. The BarraCudais very economical, quiet and at the same time enormously fast, also in comparison with many HDDs of other manufacturers. So Green-IT not only convinces the mind, but also the heart.Technical details: - Dimensions: 101.85 x 20.2 x 146.99 mm (W x H x D) - Format: 3.5 inches - Weight: 490 g - Capacity: 3 TB - Speed: 5,400 rpm - Cache: 256 MB - Continuous data transfer rate: 185 MB / s - Connection: SATA 6G - Power consumption (no load / average): 2.5 / 3.7 W - Starting current : max. 2 A - Operating temperature: 0 - 60 ° C More links for 3TB Barracuda 5400RPM 256MB Cache Internal Hard Drive (ST3000DM007) Further products by Seagate This article is used in: OcUK Tech Labs Intel 10th Gen Comet Lake...
