The Thoughtful Producer Fabulously Free Range Whole Chicken

£6.81 per kg, Traditionally Hung, Free Range Whole Chicken brought to you by The Thoughtful Producer. Bringing Flavour back to British Flocks, we are a Motley Crew who are a passionate bunch of Poulty Pros and farming fanatics who love nothing more than to nurture our feathered flocks.  From the fabulously free-range life they enjoy, to the traditional method of dry hanging we use to achieve a noticeably rich flavour. We put a lot of thought into our Chicken. We raise our birds in extensive fields, where they are free to peck and forage for their food in the way chickens love to do. They live for longer than mass produced flocks, which makes for larger, mature birds with naturally more delicious meat to enjoy. Its not the quickest way to rear chickens, but its the right way, and for us, its the only way. We believe that the nation deserves to know how good food tastes. Mass production has led to poor welfare standards and average meat quality. We are determined to do things in a more artisanal way and bring a fuller flavour back to british tables. This not only means rearing the bird in the most natural way possible for delicious dense meat, but also taking care the traditional way, right to the point it reaches your table.
